Pool

Megan and I took Ethin, Tay, Tierney, and Tay's friend Hannah to the pool on Tuesday. I didn't get many pictures taken since we weren't even there two hours when the sky started to get dark and they decided to close the pool. So these are what I got! We were going to go yesterday but it rained again so we are going to try again today. It rained this morning so lets hope this afternoon is good!

Father's Day

We had a really nice Father's Day this year. We got up and the girls gave Marshall their presents and then we went to my dad's. All the kids went fishing with Papa and each caught fish so they thought it was great. Then we went to Marshall's dad's for dinner.

Fancy

Tierney loves to be Fancy as you can see and Tay loves to make Roscoe fancy. She has been putting bows in his hair (which drives her dad nuts). They also put him in the doll stroller with blankets and push him around. I can't believe he allows it but he loves the attention!

Caterpillars

The girls finally got their caterpillars made for Nana. Tay's is the top one and Tierney's is the bottom one. I told them they needed to make some for me know and Tay said "oh brother" so I won't be holding my breath for one!

Tierney Scrimmage

Tierney had her first ball scrimmage this week. She was so excited to go and Tay let her wear one of her ball hair things so she thought she was big stuff. Unfortunately I couldn't go since Tay had a game also and I am helping with her team. She has one again this week and so far Tay doesn't have ball that day (lets keep our fingers crossed that nothing gets scheduled).

Tierney Softball Picture

This is Tierney's first year of ball. She loves it and is always excited to go. She loves to do things that Tay does. Here is her picture for this season.

Phelps Youth Pavilion

On Thursday I took the girls to the youth pavilion in Waterloo. They both had a great time. I think they could have spent the entire day there. It was nice since there were things for both of their ages and things they could do together. They even got to "milk" a pretend cow and thought that was pretty neat.

Roscoe

I cannot believe our little puppy. The other day Tay and Tierney were playing and Roscoe has to be in on everything. Well he hopped up on one of the chairs so the girls thought they should have a tea party with him. I cannot believe that he enjoys those things but he sat there the entire time. Tay took the above picture of him. Tonight he let her put his hair up in a pink pony. The picture didn't turn out so we'll see if we can get another one since so far he has left it in.

Go Cart Races

Tay in Desmond's go cart

After we got home yesterday we decided to go watch Desmond race his go cart. It was pretty cool and the girls had a blast. Desmond even let them sit in his go cart which they thought was pretty neat!

Roscoe

Okay, I have to brag a little about our puppy. He has been doing very well the past few weeks. He has only had one accident in the house in weeks and we are now able to just gate him in the kitchen instead of putting him in his kennel when we leave and he hasn't had any accidents! We have even left him for five hours!! I am amazed since for awhile I was pulling my hair out. We took him camping with us this weekend and before we left Marshall was very cranky that we were bringing him because he thought Roscoe would not behave and bark at everything well he was just the opposite. He was perfect even when it rained and he didn't bark in the morning even when the birds were chirping. He came home filthy and I had time to give him a bath before we left again but didn't have time to wash his kennel (it smells like dog and I have to wash it every couple of weeks) so we just gated him in the kitchen overnight and he still didn't have any accidents! So needless to say I am very impressed. He still doesn't go to the door when he has to go out (except for a handful of occasions) but I think we can still get him to learn that. He has dug a very large hole in the back yard and the basketball he is pushing around above can almost fit all the way in it!

Camping

We went camping this weekend with Nate, Beth and Hailey. It was really fun. The girls and I went over early Friday afternoon and got everything set up. Tay and I even got the tent set up on our own. We were pretty proud. Everyone else came later that afternoon. It ended up raining all night Friday... our tent doesn't leak!! Saturday was very warm which was nice so the girls could go to the beach. The campground was pretty nice and had a lot of activities that you could do. Here are some pictures.

Best Friends

One good thing about the girls having some time apart is that they learned to miss each other and they each got some one on one time with mom and dad. Tay spent a night at Nana and Papa's and then Tierney stayed two nights. When they came home they couldn't be separated. Here are some pictures of them playing in the backyard.

Fighting

Let me start by saying that Tierney spent the past two days at Nana and Papa's with her cousin Hailey. This is one of the very few times that Tierney has spent the night somewhere willingly and without Tay. Well tonight she informed me that "Nana says if you want something someone else has you have to play with something else". When Nana brought Tierney home she said her and Hailey spent a lot of time fighting and that they are both very bossy. It is true they are both bossy, strong willed, and very stubborn. They are a lot alike. So I then asked Tierney if her and Hailey were fighting and she informed me that "we fought about everything". When I asked what exactly about she said that they argued about the crib and pack and play, some board, barbies, and numerous other things. Geez! One good thing is that she and Tay have been getting along great saying they are best friends... so at least they aren't arguing!

Soccer

Tuesday was the first night Tay and I didn't have ball practice so I was able to go watch Tierney at soccer. She did really well. She seems like such a runt next to the other kids. At the end the coach told us that she thinks Tierney will be really good as she gets older since she seems to be understanding the skills they are learning. She starts t-ball on Monday so we will see how that goes!
