Birthday Party

After a lot of thinking Tay decided to have a skating party with her friends. At first she thought she'd have a sleepover but since she couldn't have as many girls stay over as she wanted she opted for the skating party. (Tierney wanted her to have a swimming party but Tay wouldn't budge. She had seventeen girls plus Tierney, Hailey, and Ethin. There were only two others who couldn't make it. She really had a good time. It is hard to believe that she will be 10 on Sunday!

We had Meg's wedding shower. The girls helped get everything set up. Tierney and Evie enjoyed putting the confetti on the tables and then played the whole time during the shower. Here are a couple of pictures from the day.

We took our Girl Scout troop horseback riding this weekend. They really enjoyed it. Tay loved it and wants to go again. They got to go on a trail ride through water and everything. Tierney thought she should ride also but I assured her that we would let her ride on a small one at a fair/carnival in the future. The horses were really well trained so the girls were able to guide them without any problems!

Please don't be like Taylor...

Tierney and I were getting ready to play Monopoly and this is what she told me. I asked what she meant and she informed me that Tay only left her one dollar and made her go "bank robbed" (I'm assuming she meant bankrupt). So I guess she wanted me to let her win!

Dance

Dance started again this week. I was able to get a picture of Tierney before we went. I can't help but think how old she looks in this picture especially thinking back to her first year of dance two years ago. She is really growing up fast!

Tierney

I finally got Tierney's pictures picked up. She did so well when we had them taken and I think they are adorable. I can't believe that my baby will be five in a couple of months!

Routine

It seems like I haven't had a chance to post anything for ages. The girls are trying to get back into a routine. Tay has been very grumpy. She is not a morning person and truly needs twelve hours of sleep a night but you can't put her to bed at seven so we have been dealing. Marshall reminded me that the first and last months of school are always the worst. She isn't thrilled about going to school except for playing kickball at recess and reading (they have to read so many pages each quarter for an A and we are only two weeks into the quarter and she will probably meet that by the end of the weekend). Tierney is loving her new preschool. Her teacher is wonderful. She is the only kid that goes half days in her age group but she's okay with that now that she knows the all day kids have to lay down after lunch. She has also been plenty cranky with adding an extra day of school this week plus almost an extra hour each day she goes. She told me the other day that she can't get homework because she doesn't know how to do homework. She is so funny. She started soccer this past Tuesday and is loving it. Tay and I actually get to go watch since we don't have softball! We start dance this week and next week Tay starts volleyball. So we are easing back into the craziness! We are hoping the long weekend will give us all a break and get us ready for it!
