Eleven years...

Happy Birthday Tay! We cannot believe how fast she is growing. The time is going by so fast. This is one of the outfits Tay picked out when we took her shopping on Saturday. I think it makes her look even older than she is. I just cannot believe she is eleven already. She didn't want a party this year and the only thing she wanted today was for her dad to grill steak tonight. She is so easy to please!

Tay's bday celebration

Opening the present Tierney got her.

Birthday celebration with the Perkins.
It is so hard to believe that Tay is going to be eleven tomorrow. I'm not sure where the time has gone. I sure wish our girls would stop growing! We celebrated her birthday with Marshall's side of the family this weekend and my parents took them to the movie today. We also took Tay shopping yesterday so she could spend some of her birthday money at Justice! She finally is like her mom and sister and likes to shop. She informed me that she's finally becoming a girl and likes to shop. Today she asked if she could open one of her presents that we got her. Well Tierney begged her to open the one that was from her and that's what she picked. I'm a sucker for that but figure she can't open her presents until tomorrow night since she has school tomorrow so we let her open one.

Tierney

Our little Tierney makes me laugh more and more everyday. She is becoming so mature now that she is going to school all day. She has also become very interested in learning and asks us to do "pluses" (addition) flash cards with her. She does really well with them. She also scored really high on her fluency test at school. She is able to recognize all the letters big and small and tell you their sounds. She also is able to recognize what most beginning sounds are when put into words. We are so proud of her.

The other day they made applesauce at school. She came home and informed me that they got to cut their own apples with a knife (I believe it was just a butter knife). She informed us that she told her teacher that her mom would be po'd when she knew she used a knife. Yep her teacher had no response to that. I wonder what she had to be thinking!

Last night we were at a wedding and were informed by the mother of the groom who works at the school that a boy in third grade thinks that Tierney is just so cute.

I know we are going to have our hands full with her since we already do but she is also the sweetest little thing!

Ethin's Party

We had Ethin's birthday party this past weekend. He is a huge spiderman fan just like his uncle Marshall. He was sure he needed his picture taken with spiderman and Uncle Marshall. The girls had to get in on it too!

Mask

Tierney had her first "homework" the other night. She needed to make a mask out of a paper bag using different materials. It was a lot of trouble deciding what type of mask to make before she decided on a cat. She had some help with the gluing but otherwise did the rest. You can't see it but she even had yarn for a tail!
