This and that...

I will get some pictures from Easter posted soon! I just had to post about a couple of things. First Tierney just makes me laugh. She is so ready for the school year to be done. She loves school but she is so tired at night and could really use the break. Well tonight has been rough as she is tired. She informed me that I like Tay more because Tay is nicer to me. Wow! I had to agree that Tay is nicer to me because that kid is about as nice as can be but had to remind Tierney that I love them both equally.

Tay had an orthodontist appointment today which I expected to be a normal check up. Well I was sick to my stomach when I was called back because they NEVER call me back. Well she has this same tooth stuck in her gums... it has been there forever. It's the same one that we had a spacer put in her mouth a couple of years ago to try to make room for it. The orthodontist thought the braces would make room for it but instead he has realized her mouth is too small for that tooth and that it is still stuck in her gums. Now we are going for a consultation Friday with an oral surgeon as she is going to have to have it removed. She is terrified. We were going to wait to have it done until after ball season but since she is so worried about it we are thinking the sooner we get it done the better. So I guess we will see what they say Friday!

Tierney

Tierney says the funniest things sometimes. Here are two from yesterday:

"Bad parents leave" this is what she told Marshall when he took her to dance. She informed him he need to wait in the waiting are during her class because only "bad parents leave".

"I have a hole in my finger and water and soap got in it. Now I have soap in my body." yep that was after she had a bath and realized she had a cut on her finger.

She makes us laugh everyday.

Haircuts

Tierney getting her first haircut. She informed me that she was six years old and just getting her first haircut... like that was ridiculous. The funny thing is it took me weeks to talk her into going in and we could only trip the ends! Tay getting more than a trim... she got about four inches cut off. I think it makes her look so much older.

Update

I have been so bad about posting anything. Our lives have been crazy busy. Marshall has been working seven days a week for the past couple of months. He has had a total of three days off out of about seventy. This winter has gone by so fast. Tay did tournament basketball and their team was pretty good this year. They really learned how to work together. Towards the end of basketball, we started tournament volleyball which I helped coach. So needless to say that kept us quite busy on top of our usual activities. Both the girls are doing very well. Tay has been on the honor roll every quarter and school continues to be easy for her. Tierney also does very well in school and is an excellent reader. It is amazing that she is able to read some chapter books already. Needless to say this school year is going by very fast. We have less than thirty days left. The girls are both ready for summer and to go to the pool regularly. Marshall and I are coaching Tay's ball team again with her friend Hannah's mom. We have our first game on May 2nd. Tay is also doing the tournament team this year which we have agreed to help with when needed as well. I will post pictures of basketball next. It is so hard to believe that we are going to have a first grader and sixth grader in a couple of months... time flies! Oh I am getting a new camera... I just ordered it so hopefully that will make me more motivated to get pictures posted!
