So tired...

My parents had Tay's birthday present sent straight to our house. Well of course Tay called Nana and asked if she could open it early and she said yes... this is why we have this large box. Tierney spent the afternoon coloring the inside and outside of the box... I called mom and thanked her for getting Tierney a box. I should also say Tierney has been fighting a cold and hasn't slept well this week and then with having a friend over last night she was exhausted today. I tried to get her to lay down late this morning but of course she wouldn't. Well I was up putting away clothes and called for her several times to come up but she never answered. I just thought she was hiding from me. Well when I came downstairs almost two hours ago this is how I found her!. I actually thought she was faking at first as she likes to trick me but I guess not. This is probably the best she's slept in two weeks!

Last night was New Hampton's homecoming. Tierney had a friend over and Tay went to a friends' house. Tierney gets so excited for all of the homecoming events. She had to dress up everyday and we went to the parade Thursday night. The girls had a ton of fun and New Hampton kicked some major butt!

Where does the time go?

I find myself asking this question more and more. Marshall and I were talking this morning that our baby is going to be tweleve on Tuesday. How has that happened? Where have the past tweleve years gone. I still remember bringing her home from the hospital... that makes me laugh remembering that day. Nana drove us home and I remember her freaking out that a semi was driving too close to her and was going to hurt her new granddaughter. Tay is turning into such a beautiful young lady. And then there's our little Tierney. I cannot believe that she is in first grade already. She is such a sweetie. She is a social butterfly and always keeps us on our toes. I wish we could stop the clock! I could keep them this age forever!

Tierney's new friend...

Well we are 14 days into Tierney's first grade year and she has now visited the nurse twice. Today was due to a bruise on her knee. The best part is she was complaining about her knee last night after she fell off her bike and we told her to suck it up! I guess the nurse told her not to put heat on it or it'll get bigger. That right there makes me laugh. I'm not sure what to do to stop the maddness. Tay has been telling her that the nurse is now her friend and teasing her so maybe that will make it stop. I just have to shake my head!

Cousins

We went with my brother to get the girls' pictures taken with Hailey for my mom. I am so happy with how they turned out! It is crazy how fast all three girls have grown. I can't believe between us we have a sixth grader, first grader, and kindergartener.
