I don't have time to post all of our pictures from the past couple of days but will do so this week. We started our Christmas festivities with the girls' school parties on Thursday. Thursday night Marshall and I took Tierney to see Santa. She ended up getting sick in the night Thursday so Friday my mom got Tay so she wouldn't get sick and I got to make cookies myself. Not quite the same but better than everyone being sick. On Saturday morning (Christmas Eve) Tierney was much better and was able to help frost the sugar cookies. We then went to Nana and Papa's to celebrate Christmas with them. Above are the pictures my parents gave me. Mom took Tierney and Hailey a weekend in November and had them taken. They are so pretty and I love all of them! The girls had so much fun yesterday. We made homemade Christmas ornaments, went to candle light church service, and of course had to open presents. Papa is trying to convince Tierney and Hailey that he is Santa and I'm pretty sure Hailey is believing it! Santa did come last night and we opened those gifts and celebrated Christmas just the four of us oh and Roscoe this morning. This afternoon we are going to Marshall's grandma's to celebrate with his family and cousins. Tomorrow we head to Grandma Thea and Grandpa Lewie's and Tuesday we celebrate with Grandpa Bud! The girls are loving all of the Christmas'. I will get pictures posted of all of the fun this week. We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!

Santa
Tierney is such a funny little girl. She was very insistent that we take her to see Santa so we did last night. Well we get there and the kids in front of us started to chicken out so of course Tierney thought she was going to. We had to remind her that she wanted to go see Santa and that's why we were there. So she ended up going right there. She loves Christmas. The bad thing is last night she got sick in the night. I feel so bad for her. As she was getting sick she was crying because she was sure that she will miss Christmas now. Well we have napped all morning and she seems to be doing better. Lets just hope none of the rest of us get it!

Excitment...
Tierney is so excited for Christmas. This morning she was up at four talking about her Christmas party at school. They got to wear their pajamas and watch the Polar Express. I will post some pictures later. Tonight we are going to go see Santa and tomorrow we will have Christmas movie day and make cookies. She is so excited and makes it so fun! She keeps talking about all of the Christmas' we have and seeing our family and reminds me that "family is the most important thing" I'm glad at seve she realizes this already!

Update
I am sorry to everyone who reads our blog. I have been horrible about getting it updated. It seems like we are going all the time and when I am home I am getting things ready for the next day or just too tired to post. I am hoping to be more on top of it!
We have been really busy. We planned a trip to Florida and went over Thanksgiving. Our baby turned seven while we were gone. It is so hard to believe that our girls are twelve and seven... I keep asking myself where the time is going. It seems like it speeds up everyday. The girls are both in Girl Scouts and dance. Tay just started AAU basketball this month and we start AAU volleyball next month as well. Tay also started confirmation this fall and we are getting Tierney to Sunday school on a regular basis which has been good for all of us.
The girls are always busy with school and both love to read. It is so neat to see how well Tierney is reading. Marshall is helping with the wrestling club again and I plan to help with Tay's AAU volleyball again this year.
Hopefully we will squeeze in some family pictures yet this month for me to post! I have to share my favorite quote of the week (from Tierney)
"I want to be the wrapper not the helper". Oh boy she is so ready for Christmas!! And I think we are all ready for some more family time!

Tierney's 2011 Christmas Concert
"Birthday Surprise"
The week of Thanksgiving (and the week of Tierney's 7th birthday) we went to Florida for Tierney's birthday surprise. At first we were going to drive but about six weeks before we decided to fly so that was even more exciting for Tierney. Both girls had never flown before. The girls and I also took a taxi the first night so that was another first for them. Above they are on the plane. Our trip to the airport was a little scary as it was snowing like crazy and before we could fly out they had to de-ice our plane. We had a lot of fun and uncle Nate and Hailey came along as another surprise! The first day we spent at least six hours at the pool. The following day we spent at Sea World. On Tierney's 7th birthday we went to Disney and the following day we went to Cocoa beach. The last day we spent at the pool and the world's largest McDonald's. It was so nice for all of us to get away and have a break from our crazy schedules. It was some much needed family time!
It was so neat to be at the parks during the holidays with all the decorations!

Tierney's 7th Birthday/Birthday Surprise
We planned for close to a year to go to Florida over Thanksgiving this year. We decided we should surprise Tierney for her 7th birthday. We figured if she knew ahead of time that she would drive us crazy talking about it. So the night before we were going to leave we gave her a present with clues as to where we were going. We went to Disney on her 7th birthday. What a great way to spend your 7th birthday. Tay was pumped to see Mickey and Minnie.
Below are pictures from our day at Cocoa Beach. The girls loved the waves and the sand was so soft!
