Scouts

A few weeks ago we took our Girl Scout troop to a pottery store in Cedar Falls where they were able to learn how pottery is made and paint their own pottery. The girls had a lot of fun. I'm thinking this is something we will have to do as a family this summer or fall. I know Tierney would love to go and Tay would love to go again. We then took the girls to Chuckee Cheese afterwards.

Tierney Spring Soccer 2010

Here is Tierney's spring soccer picture. It has been a tough soccer season with all of the rain. She loves to go and was sad when practice was postponed. Tierney loves anything outside especially where she can run around!

Tay Softball 2010

Here is Tay's softball picture from this year. There is also a nice group one with Marshall and I in it but I didn't think I should post it since I don't know if all the girls' parents would be okay with it. She was happy with this picture and said she likes how she looks better in this one than in the group one!

Time flies...

I just cannot believe how fast this school year has gone. Tay has 18 days left and Tierney has only 11 days left. I think each year goes faster and faster. Tay will be in middle school next year. It makes me sad to think how fast the time is going. Both of the girls are ready for summer. Tay especially is looking forward to sleeping in. She gets so tired. They have both created lists of things they want to do as a family this summer. It amazes me how simple some of the things are like making homemade ice cream, going on a picnic, and making tie dyed shirts. I'm thinking that won't be a problem. Of course Marshall and I have some bigger things planned. I'm hoping we can get everything in and enjoy some time camping and doing things that won't keep us running. May and June are still busy months. The girls are getting ready for their dance recital at the end of the month, Tierney has her preschool graduation next week, and we are all busy with softball. Marshall and I are coaching Tay's team this year so we have practice a couple times a week and the 19th is our first game! Next month Tierney will start softball also and they will both be doing swimming lessons. They decided to get everything out of the way in June so we can focus on doing fun family stuff in July and August. Hopefully this summer will go much slower than this past school year! Oh and keep your fingers crossed that Marshall can go to days after June!!

Wow! When did my girls start looking so old. I think these pictures really show how grown up they are getting. I am so happy with all of their pictures this year. They look beautiful!

Girls

Some of the things the girls do just kill me. For example this week Tierney came home all sweaty from school and I asked her what happened and she informed me "I've been chasing those boys". Oh brother. Then the other day Tay came home and told me that one of her teachers was scolding the class saying that he thinks some of the kids are missing school to go shopping and do other things and are getting behind. Apparently he even named some names. Tay told us she started to sweat. Ha. Because we are guilty of that... I thought only on one occasion last week when I got her out in the afternoon when they were watching a movie to do her summer shopping. Then she reminded us that she also went to Mall of America last month for Hailey's birthday. Oops! Then Marshall reminded her that she shouldn't worry since she isn't behind and has all A's so the teacher probably didn't suspect her until she started sweating and had a guilty look!
