Wedding Ring

Our little Tierney is absolutely obsessed with getting married. She talks about it regularly. Today she and Marshall went to the grocery store and she talked him into letting her get something from the machines. Guess what she got a ring and informed Marshall that she could get married now because she has a wedding ring. Oh and did I mention she constantly sings Taylor Swift's Love Story song... even in the shower. As I type she is in the kitchen listening to the IPOD singing and dancing to that song. Her and Tay both like Taylor Swift A LOT... if she comes anywhere close I think we will be going to a concert.

Wow I am really slow getting pictures on here from Friday's dance recital. I have been exhausted and so have the girls. Marshall helped shingle Grandpa Bud's house on Saturday and Sunday. The girls and I slept till after ten on Saturday... pathetic. We spent the rest of the weekend resting and took naps on Monday afternoon. Last week was a lot of fun but really long. As you can see the girls had a lot of people come cheer them on for their recital. Somehow I didn't get pictures of them with Nana, Aunt Meg, Desmond, Grandpa Lewie, or Great Aunt Lori but they all came also. Tay got her five year ribbon and is really proud of herself. Tierney is jealous and doesn't understand why she didn't get a ribbon. That girl loves dance and has already made sure I signed her up next year. If she decides to stick with it she will get her five year ribbon in first grade!

We had our first night of dance recital last night. It went really well. Both the girls did a good job and had a lot of fun. I was worried about Tierney making it all night since we have been so busy. She didn't have any meltdowns but is still sleeping! On the way home she asked how we would get her hair back to normal. She is so funny. Tay has a field trip today and thinks we are going to go to the first hour of ball before recital tonight... we will see how tired she is after school. At least we will have the next three days off! When I got up this morning I was glad that I had today off since I was whipped!

Talent Show

Tay's class had a talent show yesterday. It was really cute. Tay did joke telling and then her and her friend Marcy made balloon creations. Here are some pictures.

Summer Vacation

Tierney had her last day of preschool yesterday. She says she is excited to on "summer vacation". I'm guessing she has been hearing Tay talk about being ready for school to be out. Tierney wanted a picture with her friends from school. Her "boyfriend" is the little boy right behind her.

The girls and I went with Marshall's parents, sister, and Ethin to Madison on Saturday. We met Marshall's brother's family there to celebrate Evie's birthday. The kids really had a good time. We went to Chuckee Cheese and then to Build A Bear.

Mother's Day

We had a really nice day today. We didn't go anywhere but just stayed home and hung out together. That doesn't happen a ton around here unless there is football on. Tay made me a really nice scrapbook and gave me a cup with flower seeds (hopefully we can get them to grow). They all got me a really cool planter for flowers. We were going to do our planing today but there is a chance of frost tonight so we decided to wait (Tay is having a fit that we have all the flowers and they are in the garage not planted). Tierney made me a flower with her picture in the middle and each of the petals say something nice (see below).

Caterpillars

The girls made home made Mother's Day presents for Grandma Thea this year. We picked caterpillars for her garden. The girls had so much fun making them. I think we are going to make some for us! I think they turned out really cute and the girls had a blast!

Tierney Soccer

Tierney is playing soccer for the first time this spring. She is finally old enough. She has been waiting since she has been watching Tay do all the "fun stuff" for years. Apparently last night she spent a lot of time playing in the net! That made her dad real happy... ha. I think she is awful cute!

First Communion

Tay had her First Communion on Sunday. It was really nice. We then had dinner at our house afterwards. Unfortunately Tay didn't feel well after church and laid around the entire time. She ended up being sick and didn't go to school today and won't be going tomorrow (no she doesn't have a fever so I think it is safe to say no swine flu). Hopefully she will be feeling better soon. Poor girl can't catch a break!

Saturday

We had our Girl Scout meeting on Saturday morning. The girls worked on making lap blankets to donate to the nursing home. Marshall's mom came and helped tie the blankets (thank goodness)! The girls then helped serve lunch at the senior center during a fashion show. I think they had a good time.

We got the girls' dance pictures back. I think they turned out pretty good. Tay doesn't like her ballet one but I think they all look good. I think Tay looks really old. It is hard to believe that recital is in a couple of weeks. It seems like we just had it!

WOW!

Time flies. It has been forever since I've been on here to post anything. We have been busy. I have been sick with double ear infection and a sinus infection. I have not been feeling the greatest but not much time to rest. Megan and I took Ethin and Tierney to the Thomas show last week and it was really good! I didn't know what to think but it was great and we were in the sixth row! If there weren't five rows of floor seats we would have been the front row. We could see everything. I have also been helping with Tay's softball team. It has been an experience. We have practice a couple nights a week so that is keeping us busy on top of everything else. I will start posting pictures from everything else!
