Mall of America

Tay and Tierney at Lego Land
Tierney and Dora

We took the girls to Mall of America this week. They have been wanting to go to the American Girl store and we finally got them there. I told Marshall that we needed to go now while Tay still likes them as those are the only girly thing that she still plays with! They had a ton of fun and Tierney said she wants to stay at that mall forever.

Tierney

Marshall showing Tierney how to use the new mini the girls got for Christmas. It's amazing how well she does on it for only being five!

Christmas 2009 at Grandma Thea's and Grandpa Lewie's

Tierney, Evie, Tay, Ben, Ethin
We celebrated Christmas this past Sunday with Marshall's parents and siblings. Tierney and Evie have become good friends and Tierney was very sad when it was time to go. It seems like they don't get enough time to play together. And Tay is so good with Ben. He adores her.

Christmas Day 2009

The girls exchanging the gifts they got each other.

I just have to share that a few days before Christmas Tierney told me that Santa would not be bringing her anything because she was on the naughty list. When I asked why she thought that she informed me that she has been very bad and so naughty. I tried explaining that we are all naughty sometimes and we all need to work harder to be better. Then last night she told Tay and I that Santa brought her presents even though she was naughty. Oh boy. I tried explaining that Santa gives second chances and we if we don't work hard to be good he might not bring us presents next year... I don't want her to be extra naughty since she still got presents. I sure wish I could get in that childs' mind!

We had a wonderful Christmas at home minus the fact that my poor husband had to have mac and cheese and frozen pizza for Christmas dinner since the ham was still frozen!

'tis the season

Meg and I baked cookies for a good part of the day. The kids had so much fun frosting them. Marshall and I have both cleaned the table and we are still finding frosting!

Tierney's Christmas Party

I was lucky enough to go to school with Tierney on Monday for her Christmas party. We played games, had snacks, and Santa even came to visit. It was a lot of fun.

Christmas Program

Here are the girls from the night of Tay's school Christmas program. Tierney was sure she was having a program also but her preschool this year does a program in May instead of at Christmas. She still wore the santa hat to the program. At least it was easy for Nana and Papa to spot us when they got there!

Christmas 2009

I am really slow this year with everything! We finally got the girls' Christmas pictures taken. I think they turned out pretty good. You can't really tell they are Christmas pictures since the ones we liked most you can't see the Christmas background. I think they are starting to look more alike each day and I can't believe how big they are getting! We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Santa Picture

The girls went and saw Santa. Tierney actually requested to go this year and wasn't scared at all which is a big change from last year!

Bowling

Hailey, Nate, Tierney

We went bowling with my parents, Nate, and Hailey. All the lanes with the bumpers were being used so it was interesting. Tay was getting frustrated but did better towards the end. Here are some pictures from the day... I guess I never got any of my parents.

Scouts

Here are some pictures from our Girl Scout Christmas party last week. We first went to the nursing home and dropped off some lap blankets the girls had made. Then we went bowling.

Life

Geez we have been busy and haven't taken the time to post anything. Roscoe was really sick last week for a couple of days. I was really scared but by last Friday he was doing a lot better. The vet thinks he had the flu. Now I haven't felt well since then but at least I am not puking. And now Marshall is getting what I have so stay away from our house. Oh and Tierney has a sore throat. For once Tay is the only one who is healthy! The kids had a snow day today. The snow is past my knees in the driveway. Marshall got one side cleared out so he could get the car in but is waiting to work on the rest. At least with the weather we have to stay home!
