Life

Geez we have been busy and haven't taken the time to post anything. Roscoe was really sick last week for a couple of days. I was really scared but by last Friday he was doing a lot better. The vet thinks he had the flu. Now I haven't felt well since then but at least I am not puking. And now Marshall is getting what I have so stay away from our house. Oh and Tierney has a sore throat. For once Tay is the only one who is healthy! The kids had a snow day today. The snow is past my knees in the driveway. Marshall got one side cleared out so he could get the car in but is waiting to work on the rest. At least with the weather we have to stay home!

Geez...

What a week. I haven't had much time to sit down and type or put any pictures on the website this week. It has been crazy! I am hoping next week will be much better. We are now done with volleyball, soccer, and gymnastics. The girls want to go watch a different gymnastics in Sumner and I'm thinking we won't do that for a couple of weeks so we can have some time to relax! Tay is also asking about starting piano lessons now that we have Marshall's grandmother's piano but I am going to try to hold her off until after Christmas since we will be starting all of our Christmas parties and stuff in a few weeks! So we shall see.

What an afternoon...

Right before we were getting ready to go to gymnastics I was finishing dictating a tape that I had worked on for the majority of my afternoon. Well I messed up and went back to erase part of it and do that part over... and realized that at some point the batteries in the recorder had died and I lost a couple of hours of work. Just lovely as I am very stressed with work right now and trying to get it under control!

We then get to gymnastics and my delightful little Tierney decides that she is not going to participate. First she is hiding behind the chair and then moves to my lap. After a lot of talking to her and another little girl asking her to come and sit by her did she finally join in. At first she was willing to go home rather than participate. I just do not understand that child sometimes!

This week

This week has seemed so crazy... I haven't had much time to sit and type. Tay started volleyball on Monday and she loves it. Then we came home and watched the Eagles lose. Oh yes and in the past week Tay's friend Hannah's mom and I have decided to start up a Girl Scout troop. Both of our girls weren't going to join this year but have decided to since we decided to start a troop. So Tuesday the girls and I ran to Waterloo to pick up books. Tay is so excited. Then Wednesday Tierney had gymnastics but we had a message on the machine asking that parents not stay and watch. I am not real thrilled about leaving my three year old with someone I don't know but I don't really have a choice. Tierney loves it so I guess I have to deal. After that Lena (Hannah's mom) and I met to plan our first meeting. I think we have come up with some good ideas for the troop... hopefully everyone else thinks so! Last night we had dance. On the way we met a UPS truck and Tierney informed me that those truck have broken doors (since they always have their door open). It was quite funny. The girls have a dance Christmas program this year that they are preparing for. I am debating about taking the girls to the football game tonight... it would be nice to stay home and relax (and I need to clean for Tay's party with Marshall's family on Sunday) but we haven't been to a game yet so we will see what happens. Tomorrow we have soccer, a wedding, and then Ethin's birthday party. Marshall is helping dad cater tomorrow so I'm not sure if he will make it to any of those things. His work has been slow and they have laid some people off... some permanently and others just voluntary a week at a time. I am very stressed about that. He keeps telling me I shouldn't worry because it won't change anything but I can't help it. My job is at least getting a little less stressful... we have hired two new people one started Monday and the other one starts next Monday. I am hoping we can get them trained quickly so the rest of us can breathe a little. We have a survey due in March so we really need to work on making sure things are ready to go for that.

Lovely

Well the fridge we ordered is back ordered and now the loaner fridge is not working real well... lets put it this way we have to put the stuff that would go in the fridge in the freezer part. So we now have some stuff in that freezer and the rest of the fridge stuff in a cooler. It is wonderful! Hopefully our fridge will be in by the end of the week. If not I think I will go crazy. Tierney was laughing this morning and asked if I saw that her purple cup was in the freezer (not sure she gets that the fridge part isn't working)... it was pretty funny.

Chaos

Can anything ever go smoothly? I woke up yesterday morning and went to get Tierney some milk.... well when I poured it there was ice in the milk. So I started checking out the fridge and noticed many other items were slightly frozen. I then decided to get Marshall up who was sure that the fridge door was left open over night but turned the fridge temperature up. Needless to say last night things were freezing more. Marshall's dad came to the conclusion that we most likely have a freon leak and would be better off purchasing a new fridge. We went fridge shopping today and of course the one I want they don't have in stock and can't get it until Thursday. Luckily they are being nice enough to bring us a fridge to borrow until then. So now the house is all tore up so they can deliver the loaner fridge and take the old one. I am trying to be positive but everything will be tore up again on Thursday when they have to switch them again. I also feel like work is chaotic.... we got moved back into our office and are trying to get things in their places but since then one of the girls has left so now we have her work to also do until we get someone hired (oh and we haven't even started interviewing). And school starts a week from Wednesday. I am feeling very overwhelmed at home and work!

Tired

I have had such a migrane since last night and it is finally going away. I was up quite a bit last night with that and then Marshall was up because he has been having severe pain under his ribs. Of course it is on his left side which makes me paranoid especially since he is already on blood pressure medication. I knew it was bad when he had me call to get him into the doctor right away today. Well they did some more blood work and checked out his heart. The doctor thinks his heart looks could but is going to send whatever they did to a cardiologist to be sure. They are thinking it is a pinched nerve. But on the way home he was in so much pain he had to pull off the road. Of course I didn't go along because I wouldn't have been in any better shape to drive this morning. He is now on a muscle relaxer to see if that helps. He actually called into work which never happens so I know he is in a lot of pain. We all took a long nap this afternoon. We took the girls to the waterpark on Friday with Nate, Beth, and Hailey. We opened the place and closed it down. The girls had such a good time. Then on Saturday Marshall and Tay helped my dad with some caterings and Tierney and I got the girls' room finished (and it looks even better than I thought it would). So I think the girls were plenty tired today. Hopefully everyone will be feeling better soon!
