Birthdays

Showing off my new outfit!
Doesn't she look so old! I cannot believe how fast our girls are growing. The time is just going way too fast especially when I look at pictures of them.

We went to Chuckee Cheese for to celebrate Marshall's and Grandma Thea's birthdays. Tierney asked grandma if we could go there to celebrate and how could she tell her no?! The girls had a great time.

Memorial Day Weekend

Here are some pictures from the weekend. It was so nice. We were able to sleep in everyday and just relax. Marshall and the girls got the garden planted and we got our flowers planted. Marshall is trying to teach the girls to play football and of course they want to play tackle football (until one of them gets hurt). The last picture is of Tierney scoring her touchdown!

We made it!

Well we got through both nights of recital with very few tears! Both nights when the teacher was calling names for awards Tierney went up because there was a girl with the last name of Tierney and she thought the teacher was calling her name. Well on the way home last night Tierney informed us that she didn't win. When we asked her what she meant she said that she didn't win because she didn't get a prize. We tried explaining that there weren't any winners and the teacher was giving ribbons to the girls who have been in dance for five years. The poor girl thought her name was called and then when the teacher stopped her she didn't think she was the winner. They both had so much fun. I am so proud at how well they both did!!

Well we have made it through one night of rehearsal and one night of recital!! The girls both did wonderful and looked beautiful. Tay's group did a great job together and Tierney's group was so darn cute! We were worried if Tierney would get scared and not go on stage but she did and really did a good job dancing for her first year. Tay also got to dance in the finale with two older groups and that was really good! I can't believe we only have one more night and we are done dancing for the summer. The girls are really going to miss going every week and seeing their friends!

Fishing with Papa

Taylor's big catch!

Tierney's first fish!

The girls got to go fishing with Papa yesterday and had a blast. Tierney caught her very first fish and also caught the biggest fish! They both had a ton of fun and can't wait for summer so they can fish more.

Funnies for the week

Marshall and I have always said our children are the best entertainment we could find. Last night Taylor informed me that she couldn't wear shorts on her field trip today. When I asked why she informed me that her teacher told them they need to represent our town and not look like slobs. I was laughing so hard and they she said oh and we can't wear flip flops either. She also informed me that her teacher wrote all of this information on the board except for the slob part. And Tierney this week informed me that no one loves her because she doesn't get flowers like I do... geez I'm not sure where she comes up with some of this stuff! Then today she was trying to help by sweeping the floor but kept saying that she was brooming the floor! Gotta love kids!!

Tay Softball

Here is Tay's softball picture. She doesn't like it because she is squinting since the sun was shining in her eyes and Marshall doesn't like how they put her hair over her shoulder. I guess I didn't think it was bad! She was supposed to have her first game tonight but she got sick at school so she won't be playing. She is disappointed but it looks like it may rain so maybe she won't miss it at all! If it rains it sounds like they will make the game up next week. So we will see what happens. If Tierney decides to get sick also, I hope it is before the end of the week! She has her ENT appointment on Monday which I had to re-schedule from last month since she was sick then and Wednesday we have dance rehearsal and Thursday and Friday we have recital. But I guess we will deal with whatever happens!

New Vehicle

Well as you can see Marshall finally talked me into getting a new vehicle. He wanted a truck and I wanted a car so we "settled" on a crossover vehicle. We are both in love. Tay loves that it has a cooler for your pop and Tierney is excited that she sits high enough to see out the window! I think we came to a pretty good agreement. We can now hold two extra people and have a lot more storage which will be nice!

Tay Softball Scrimmage

Taylor had her first softball scrimmage tonight. They played the boys and won by one!! She is so excited. She got to be catcher and both times she batted had two good hits. She got out at first one time and was frustrated. Tierney thinks she is the team mascot and had to line up with the girls and hit the boys' hands to tell them good job. She wishes she could play too!

Taylor Soccer

Here is Taylor's soccer picture. She has only made it to practice once due to the rain and being sick. Hopefully the weather will be nice for the rest of the month. They had practice inside this past week which isn't nearly as much fun. Hopefully it will be nice this Saturday!

Here is Tierney's 3 1/2 year picture. She was so grumpy that day and said that she wasn't going to get her picture taken because it is "scary". It took all three of us to convince her to get her picture taken. We promised that we would only let the lady take three pictures! She did great once we got back there and I think the pictures turned out good!
