I hate...

That school makes my beautiful little girl so grumpy and that she gets home to late to take a nap. Tierney is just exhausted at the end of the day. She gets very tired and grumpy. She had an early out today and got to take a nap and now is so happy. I wish kindergarten was only half days so she could take a rest everyday so she would be happy!

School Pictures

Tay 5th Grade
Tierney Kindergarten

Here are the girls' school pictures. I'm pretty impressed on how well they turned out. I must say we have some pretty girls! Tierney does not like to show her teeth since she lost the front ones and they aren't all the way in. She is so worried people will laugh at her but I think her smile is still good!

Tay Volleball 2010

Girl Scout Pumpkin Ride

Callie, Hannah, Tay, Cassy, Macy, Marcy
Last Saturday we took Tay's Girl Scout troop to the Pumpkin Ride that the Women of Today put on in Fredericksburg. The girls really had a good time.

Tierney's First Sleepover

Tierney had her first sleepover last weekend. She loved every minute of it and has been asking when she can have her next one. Luckily last Friday was really nice so they were able to play outside. They helped Marshall with the leaves and had fun playing in them. It was cute to see them when we asked anything. For example we told them we could go to the football game after McDonalds or just rent movies. They kept saying it was up to the other person. They didn't want to hurt each others feelings. They played so well together. Marshall and I both thought it went too good!

Pumpkin Patch

Megan and I took the kids to a pumpkin patch a couple weekends ago. Tierney and Ethin had a blast. Tay was a little bored. A lot of the activities were geered for kids Tierney and Ethin's age and younger. They had a blast walking through the "haunted trail" and doing all of the other activities.

Wow...

What a week! I had to pick Tierney up from school Tuesday morning. She had a bad tummy ache and was crying. Somehow there was a lot of confusion at the school on how to get a hold of me. I was home but for some reason the nurse couldn't find my cell number. Poor girl sat in the nurses office for an hour. Then she stayed home Wednesday. Tay has been coughing and you can hear her wheezing when she breathes. This time of year is always so hard on her lungs when the temperature isn't consistent. She toughed it out and made it to school everyday. I think she is afraid to miss due to the amount of homework she will have. They got to sleep in today and we are going to get pumpkins in a little while. I also had to share the cheer Tierney did for us last night... "firecracker firecracker boom boom, the boys have the muscles, teachers have the brains, girls have the sexy legs, we won the game". I thought we were all going to die laughing. She was shaking her hips and showing us her leg. Apparently another little girl taught her this at school yesterday. I really should get the video camera out and record that one!

Homecoming

It has been quite a week around here. Tay had different days to dress up each day for homecoming. I wish I would have gotten her picture on nerd day.... I still can't believe I let her leave the house looking the way she did. Friday the middle schoolers could wear face paint... well as you can see Tay's paint is smeared all over. We had to scrub the black off before the game and put new one. Tay got to ride on a float for volleyball. The elementary kids had a food competition to see which class in each grade could bring the most food for the food pantry. Tierney strongly believed that she had to bring stuff each day so we let her. I went and watched the parade with her yesterday and was asked if we had any food left. Apparently she brought the most food out of the kids in her class but her class lost by one item for their grade. It was funny because the class that won in each grade their teacher would get a pie in their face. At first Tierney didn't want to bring anything because she didn't want her teacher to get a pie in her face but quickly changed her mind when she realized it was a competition!
